Foot
Also called: Pied, ft, pieds, 60 pieds, 40 pieds
An imperial unit of length, 0.3048 m, still used to name boats.
An IMOCA is called a “60-footer” and a Class40 a “40-footer”: the length in feet has become a category name. A foot is 30.48 cm, so 60 feet is about 18.3 m.
