Length overall
Also called: Longueur hors-tout, LOA, hors-tout
The total length of the boat, from the tip of the bowsprit to the back of the rudders.
Length overall (LOA) counts everything that sticks out from the hull. It matters to marinas (berths are charged by length) and to some rules, which cap it to limit bowsprit size.
