Reaching
Also called: travers, vent de travers, beam reach, largue, broad reach, débridé
Points of sail with the wind from the side, from beam reach to broad reach; often the fastest.
When reaching, the sails are half open and the boat uses the full force of the wind without fighting it. It is where foiling boats reach their highest speeds.
