Royal Ocean Racing Club
Yacht club based in London (St James's Place) with a further clubhouse in Cowes, Isle of Wight. Founded in 1925 as the Ocean Racing Club, it received royal approval in 1931. It is the main organiser of offshore races in the UK (Fastnet Race, RORC Caribbean 600, etc.) and, with the Yacht Club de France, is responsible for the IRC rating system.
