Launch
Also called: Mise à l'eau, mise à l'eau, launched, baptême, christening, année de mise à l'eau
The moment a new boat touches the water for the first time.
The launch year is the boat's age and places it in a generation. It is often followed by a christening, where the boat receives its name in front of its partners. A heavily modified boat keeps its original launch year.
