Mould
Also called: Moule, mold, moule de coque
The form in which a hull or composite part is built; it can be used for several boats.
A mould is expensive: building several hulls in the same mould reduces the bill. That is why racing boats often come out in runs of two or three sister-ships, which share the design and the mould, then differ in their appendages, deck or set-up.
