In Olympic sailing she took part in the 2012 Games in the Laser Radial and in 2016 in the 49er FX with Giulia Conti. In 2015 the pair won the Italian, European and world titles and received the Golden Collar of Sporting Merit. After finishing second at the 2016 Europeans, they ended their Olympic campaign.
She then moved to offshore racing: the 2017-18 Volvo Ocean Race on Turn the Tide on Plastic under Dee Caffari, then victory in The Ocean Race 2022-23 with 11th Hour Racing. In 2024 she raced the Women's America's Cup with American Magic and skippered the women's UpWind by MerConcept Ocean Fifty team.
