Watermaker
Also called: Dessalinisateur, désalinisateur, osmoseur, desalinator
A device that makes fresh water from seawater.
A watermaker filters seawater by reverse osmosis. It avoids carrying hundreds of litres of water around the world, at the cost of power use; racers keep a reserve in case it fails.
