Non-stop
Also called: Sans escale, sans escale, nonstop, sans assistance, unassisted
A race sailed in one go, without stopping in port or receiving help.
In a non-stop, unassisted race, the sailor must fix breakdowns alone with what is on board. Anchoring may be tolerated under conditions, but touching a dock or receiving material help usually means retirement or disqualification.
