Single-handed sailing

Racing with a single sailor on board.
Single-handed racing is the hallmark of French offshore racing: Vendée Globe, Route du Rhum, Solitaire du Figaro. The sailor steers, trims, repairs, navigates and sleeps in short naps of a few dozen minutes while the autopilot steers.
