T-foil
Also called: Foil en T, T-shaped foil, plan porteur, elevator, safran en T, T-rudder
A vertical fin with a horizontal wing at its tip, often on rudders.
A T-foil combines a vertical fin and a small horizontal wing, the elevator. On the rudders of flying boats, the elevator stabilises pitch in flight, like an aircraft's tailplane.
