Racing Rules of Sailing
Also called: Règles de course à la voile, RCV, RRS, règles de course, World Sailing
The international rulebook of sailing races, published by World Sailing every four years.
The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) set right-of-way rules between boats, start procedures, protests and penalties. Each race adds its notice of race and sailing instructions. Offshore, the international regulations for preventing collisions at sea (COLREGs) also apply at night and around shipping.
