Catamaran
A multihull with two identical hulls joined by beams or a platform.
A catamaran has two parallel hulls of the same size, joined by crossbeams or a platform. The mast stands between them, on a transverse beam.
Very fast and stable when sailing flat, it has held offshore records. Today, offshore multihull racing is mostly sailed in trimarans, while catamarans dominate inshore racing (America's Cup, SailGP) and cruising.
