Distance to leader
Also called: Écart au leader, DTL, retard, écart
The gap in miles between a boat and the leader of the provisional ranking.
Distance to leader (DTL) is the difference between the two boats' distances to finish. Read it with care: two boats at the same gap may be in very different weather systems.
