Division
Also called: catégorie, groupe
A group of boats ranked together in a race: a class, or a grouping of mixed boats.
A multi-class race splits its entries into divisions. Most often, a division matches a class (IMOCAs, Class40s); sometimes it groups mixed boats (Rhum Multi, Rhum Mono). A boat's rank is its rank within its division.
