Elapsed time
Also called: Temps de course, temps réel, temps de parcours, real time
Time between the boat's start and finish, before penalties.
Elapsed time is counted in days, hours, minutes and seconds, from the starting signal to crossing the finish line. For races sailed in real time (most offshore races), it is the basis of the ranking.
