History
DCNS (also called DCNS 1000) is an IMOCA 60 designed by the Finot-Conq office and built by Multiplast in Vannes, using the hull mould of Generali and Brit Air. Construction began in October 2007 and was completed at the end of May 2008. Its keel was made in DCNS workshops in Cherbourg from a steel used in submarines. Sailed by Marc Thiercelin, it was dismasted on 11 November 2008, two days after the start of the Vendée Globe.
In 2009 it set the Marseille–Carthage Mediterranean crossing record in just over 33 hours, then retired from the Transat Jacques-Vabre with a keel ball-joint problem. Christopher Pratt, a graduate of DCNS's "Filières du talent" programme, finished eighth and last in the 2010 Route du Rhum. Another retirement followed in the 2011 Transat Jacques-Vabre. In 2012 DCNS refocused its sailing project; the boat was bought by a film producer and used to shoot the film "En solitaire".
In November 2014 Éric Bellion bought it and renamed it Comme un seul homme; he finished ninth in the 2016-2017 Vendée Globe. In 2017 the Apicil group acquired it for Damien Seguin, who had it adapted to his disability: racing as Groupe Apicil without foils, he took third in the 2018 Bermudes 1000 Race, sixth in the 2018 Route du Rhum and seventh in the 2020-2021 Vendée Globe.
In January 2022 Tanguy Le Turquais bought it; leased for a while to Team Banque populaire, it briefly raced in those colours with Nicolas Lunven before becoming Lazare, named after a charity for homeless people. It finished 17th in the 2024-2025 Vendée Globe. Bought in 2026 by Pierre-Louis Attwell with the 2028 Vendée Globe in mind, it was relaunched on 6 April 2026 as Resilient.
