Generation reference
Also called: Référence de génération, médiane de génération
The median percentile of the other boats of the same generation in the same race.
It places a boat against its contemporaries: a boat above its generation gets more out of the same kind of boat. Without another classified boat of the generation in the race, there is no reference.
