Percentile
Also called: position relative, rang relatif
Position among the classified boats of the division: 100 % for the winner, 0 % for the last. Retirements are not ranked.
The percentile makes results from fleets of different sizes comparable: 5th out of 30 is better than 5th out of 6. Formula: 1 − (rank − 1) / (classified − 1); 100 % when a single boat is classified.
A retirement has no percentile: performance and reliability are measured apart.
